Geschiedenis van onze naam
Kapitein Calico Jack Rackham was een beruchte piraat die de zeeën regeerde tijdens de Gouden Eeuw van Piraterij in het begin van de 18e eeuw. Rackham, geboren in Engeland, voelde zich al snel aangetrokken tot het leven vol avontuur en piraterij. Terwijl hij door het Caribisch gebied zeilde, werd hij berucht vanwege zijn onverschrokken karakter en opvallende kleding, vaak gezien in kleurrijke calicokleding. Een van zijn favoriete schuilplaatsen was de serene kust van de Kaaimaneilanden. Onze betoverende eilanden, met hun kristalheldere water en ongerepte schoonheid, vormden het perfecte toevluchtsoord voor Rackham en zijn bemanning om uit te rusten, voorraden aan te vullen en hun volgende gewaagde avonturen te plannen.
