About Us
Island Marine Punta Cana is a fishing charter business based on the exclusive Marina Cap Cana in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Owner and operator Humberto Quintana has been fishing in the Punta Cana area for 15 years, and in February 2013, he decided to take the leap and make his passion for fishing more than a hobby. Humberto started his business with one vessel, the Emily, and before we knew it, she was at the top of Marina Cap Cana’s billfish charts!
In October 2013, he was joined by Lorraine, his wife, who is in charge of all bookings and administrative tasks.
In December 2014, we added our 19′ Mako bay boat for inshore fishing excursions and beach trips, where we focus on family fun within the reef-protected turquoise waters of Punta Cana, with a strict catch and release policy.
In June 2015, we expanded our offshore fishing fleet with the Lady Lola, our lovely 42′ Bertram. In the last couple of months, she has already begun exploring the waters of Punta Cana and Macao and raising those white and blue marlin that you come here to see! The Lady Lola, besides fishing on 4, 6, and 8-hour charters, will specialize in 10-hour trips to Macao during blue marlin season, which runs from July to November.
