Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse is one of Bermuda’s most iconic landmarks and a must-visit attraction for travelers interested in history, architecture, and spectacular island views. Located in Southampton Parish, the 117-foot cast-iron lighthouse was built in 1846 and is one of the oldest cast-iron lighthouses in the world. Visitors can climb the 185-step spiral staircase to enjoy panoramic views across Bermuda’s South Shore, Great Sound, Hamilton, and surrounding waters. The elevated location makes it an especially rewarding stop for photographers and sightseeing enthusiasts. The lighthouse is currently open to visitors, although the exterior balcony is closed for renovations and improvements. The on-site gift shop is also open.
