Rafting on the Martha Brae is “Jamaica’s elite rafting experience.” It is an activity not to be missed by visitors to the island…one guests describes the experience beautifully “it’s like a gondola ride in Venice but in nature and without the singing.” The 1 hour 15 minute raft journey spans 3 miles of the 20-mile-long Martha Brae River, allowing guests to leisurely bask in the picturesque Jamaican countryside.

Yes. Raft captains undergo rigorous training and certification to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all passengers. We have over 90 raft captains who are licensed and CPR certified and we are constantly training raft captains. You’re in expert hands every step of the way! The raft captains are friendly, professional and well-informed as they take visitors down the 3 mile stretch of the beautiful Martha Brae river. As an added perk, visitors get the opportunity to try their hand at poling the raft during their ride down the river.
